HCC: The Division of Germany During the Cold War
After the WWII, Germany got separated among victorious powers and became the main battleground for the Cold War later on. In our HCC committee, delegates will be navigating tensions between the West and East and decide on what could have been done different, possibly changing the course of history.
SCKP: The Division of Korea During the Cold War
Following the WWII, with the 38th parallel Korea was divided and became one of the
main tension points of the Cold War. In our SCKP committee, delegates will make the
choice of reconciliation or further division. Will they reach an agreement and find the
path to peace?
UNHRC: Human Rights Violations During the Cold War
During the Cold War, many people were imprisoned because of their political views,
people’s rights of expressing themselves freely were limited. Problems because of
refugee crisis’s, ethnic and religious minority groups kept happening. In our UNHRC
committee, delegates will try to unite humanity again.
UNEP: Militarization of the Arctic
With military bases being established in the Arctic, international law agreements have been made. In our UNEP committee, delegates will study these agreements and they will debate about their long and short-term effects on our environment.
DISEC: The Expansion of Nuclear Weapons and Security During the Cold War
As the usage of both nuclear and conventional weapons raised, global security was pushed to its limits. In our DISEC committee, delegates will discuss whether or not to limit access to these weapons and how will the Cold War get affected by a possible arms embargo?
